Welcome to the Web site of Dundon & Huddleston LLP.

Our firm's practice is limited to wealth and business strategies planning. It is something more than what is usually thought of as estate planning or business succession planning. While the traditional tools - wills, trusts, partnerships, insurance trusts, gift trusts, buy-sells, etc. are used, it is a process that looks to your goals and values in creating a plan designed for you and your family. We look at what is important to you, preservation of income and lifestyle, asset protection, repaying the community, passing on values, etc. This process works for anyone interested in doing more than just simply giving money to the next generation. If you are interested in passing on values along with wealth to children and grandchildren, then you should contact us for an appointment. The size of your assets increases the options you have and the magnitude of the monetary gifts that you bestow on your family and community. Individuals with small estates can and do benefit from this process.

For this type of planning to work, your dreams and desires must drive the planning process. We first discuss with clients their family, their assets, and their plans for the future, and their desires for the children and/or grandchildren. We also talk about giving back to the community and which groups are their favorites. My associates and I will do what we can to reduce estate taxes, but tax reduction is not the driving force behind this type of planning. Instead we strive to create systems that promote and continue the values that our clients feel are important.

Values-based planning does not depend on whether there is an estate tax. If Congress eliminated the federal estate tax tomorrow, the primary reason for estate planning- the need to educate and guide future generations regarding proper ways to use wealth- would still exist.

We also assist business owners and the self employed explore retirement planning vehicles to build wealth for retirement and create exit strategies from their businesses so that they can retire.

Please see our "Retirement Information" page.

If you are interested in this type of planning, please contact us for information and an appointment.
